Everything You Need to Know to Make the Most of This Course

What is the Authentic Relating Lab?
The Authentic Relating Lab is a progressive series of six separate 4-week explorations designed
to help you develop deeper, more meaningful conversations. Each module builds on the previous,
using the present -moment practice to cultivate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and
relational agility through real-time connection and feedback.
What is the Present-Moment practice?
Present-moment practice is a structured, relational communication method that helps to
develop emotionally intelligent communication patterns. Instead of storytelling or intellectual
discussion, you’ll engage in unscripted, real-time interactions that highlight how you show up in
relationships. This method is used for leadership development, interpersonal growth, and
deepening relational intelligence.
How is the program structured?
The lab is designed as a multi-level progressive training, with Levels 1 & 2 offered on an ongoing
basis. Levels 3-6 are offered when enough participants have completed Levels 1 & 2, ensuring
an engaged, experienced group ready to deepen the work together.
• Level 1: Foundations of Authentic Relating (open.to.all)
• Level 2: Deepening Emotional and Somatic Awareness (open.to.all)
• Level 3: Feedback, Boundaries, and Relational Edges (prerequisite¿.Level.7.™ .8.OR.9.private.
sessions)
• Level 4: Conflict as Connection (prerequisite¿.Level.9)
• Level 5: Relational Leadership & Group Dynamics (prerequisite¿.Level.0)
• Level 6: Integration & Mastery in Authentic Relating (prerequisite¿.Level.❶)
Do I have to take all six levels?
No! You can take Level 1 or Level 2 as standalone experiences. However, to progress to Level 3
and beyond, you must complete Levels 1 & 2 or complete three 90-minute private sessions to
ensure you're up to speed.
Why are Levels 3-6 not always available?
Since Levels 3-6 build on foundational skills and orient participants to the central practices,
they are only offered when enough participants have completed Levels 1 & 2. This ensures
a committed group of engaged, experienced learners who are ready to deepen their relational
work together.
Who is this program for?
This lab is designed for outdoor-oriented, anyone who wants to skill up their communication,
level up their conflict-navigation, or are seeking more meaningful, connected communication.
It’s perfect for professionals, creatives, facilitators, therapists, and leaders who want to:
• Expand their ability to navigate real-time conversations with confidence
• Learn to stay present under pressure and express themselves authentically
• Move beyond small talk and develop deeper, more fulfilling relationships
What makes this different from other communication programs?
Most communication workshops teach scripts and techniques—this is fully experiential.
You’ll practice relational skills in real-time using structured exercises, rather than just learning
theories about connection.
Do I need prior experience?
No prior experience is needed for Levels 1 & 2—just a willingness to engage openly and explore
new ways of relating. To join Level 3 and beyond, you must complete Levels 1 & 2 OR schedule
three private 90-minute sessions to ensure you have the foundational skills.
Will this feel uncomfortable?
Possibly—but that’s a good thing. Growth in relational skills requires stepping outside your
comfort zone. Our facilitators create a safe, structured space to help you take risks, be seen,
and build confidence in connection.
